Positive Reviews

Extraordinary Staff.

From reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff, you'll be impressed from arrival to departure.  Warm smiles welcome you and any adjustments necessary are made without delay. Friendly, helpful and charming.  Wait staff is likely to remember your names, get your orders just right and deliver colouring books to the children.

Superb, Central Locale.

The hotel is within a stroll of city shops, restaurants and nightlife, with a convenient on-site car park which is free of charge.  Very clean with charming decor throughout, and cosy beds, plenty of tea/coffee making provisions and lovely bath products in the rooms.  Freshly laundered towels are provided daily.  Please note that quieter rooms face the back of the hotel.

Tasty Food.

Breakfast is delicious with a hearty and plentiful selection of items, both cold and hot.  Dinner is delectable as well, with highest quality dishes in exquisite presentation.

Negative Reviews

The Noise, Noise, Noise.

This hotel needs better soundproofing on the room windows.  From street racers circling through town to loud voices from late night revellers to early morning recycling trucks and various other sleep-disrupting sounds, you may not sleep all night.  Bring your best earplugs and white noise makers and hope for the best- or ask for a room in the back.

Room Issues.

Rooms are considered quite small by many and the lack of air conditioning is not impressive, especially when it's too loud outside to leave windows open in warm weather.  Bedroom decor is ancient and unappealing while bathroom fixtures are in need of a scrub and updating.  Views from the windows are not very pretty either.

Wi-Fi Woes.

Wi-Fi connection is often intermittent, so don't count on it.
