In 1932 Heins Crüys bought ground in Walvis Bay, Erf 260 on the corner of 8th street west and 3rd road, as it is still known today. On 13 May 1932 he started construction on his house and horse stables. The horses were used as working animals in the harbor. Only the outlines of the original stables can still be seen. The Idea of 1932 House is to combine the beautiful and unique architecture of the 1900s combined with a elegant, yet subtle touch of our modern day lifestyle.
