Positive Reviews

Great location

Although set in a tranquil rural town, The Warren Lodge is well-situated to reach London within an hour. Near major Motorway links, M3, M4 and M25, the hotel is near the train station, so reaching London within an hour is possible. Guests also say that the hotel setting is picturesque and peaceful. The local views are stunning, as the river is nearby and there is varied wildlife in the area.

Friendly staff

The staff members here are reportedly efficient, friendly, helpful and always willing to take trouble to assist the guests and make their stay as comfortable as they can.

Historic hotel

The hotel dates back to the 1700s and has a great, historic feel, which, together with the tranquil and picturesque setting, contributes to the wonderful atmosphere. Guests enjoy their stay here because of the atmosphere and the great service.

Negative Reviews

Dated look

Although the hotel looks dated in a positive way on the outside, some of the guests have expressed the feeling that the modern facilities on the inside of the hotel could do with an update. The hotel has become a little tired looking and it is felt that some refurbishment of the modern facilities would help restore the shiny, new look to the hotel. The bathrooms in particular, could do with refurbishment.

Ground floor rooms near car park

Some of the guests disliked being given ground floor bedrooms because it means that they have to keep their blinds closed for privacy, as the room was close to the car park.

Issues with noise

Some of the guests have had issues with the noise level, as noise from the outside can greatly disturb the hotel guests inside. Some guests mentioned that as the hotel has a bar and restaurant, the noise level in the evenings can be quite high.
