Positive Reviews

Friendly and helpful staff brighten the place up.

A number of guests commented on the friendly and helpful staff, particularly those on reception, who seem to brighten up the hotel despite its rather industrial location and tired interior.

Fair value for money.

Given the extremely competitive pricing of this hotel, many guests have claimed that it offers very good value for money. It is "no frills" accommodation, but the majority of reviews rate the food as decent and the accommodation itself as acceptable.

Very quiet location.

The location is very quiet at night, with very little road traffic noise, and at two miles from the town centre, there is no night-life noise to speak of.

Negative Reviews

Not enough plug sockets.

A number of guests reported that the rooms have very few plug sockets, often only offering one, if any, making it impossible to charge phones, laptops, or any other devices you may require electricity for.

Very tired 70s decoration.

The interior decoration seems to be very much in need of an update, with the majority of reviews commenting on the tiredness of the interior. Aside this, there are a number of reports of uncomfortable beds or old, worn-out mattresses.

Questionable cleanliness.

The reviews on the cleanliness of the hotel are very mixed, which suggests that the cleaning is inconsistent and cannot necessarily be relied upon.
