Positive Reviews

Comfy Accommodations

Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Beds come complete with lots of pillows and reading lights are well-positioned. Local magazines and a laminated walking route info sheet are provided in room, as are coffee/tea making facilities and bottles of sparkling water. Bathrooms are spacious and come with excellent showers with large bath towels.

Meals are Delicious

From breakfast to dinner, guests rave about the food at this inn. Breakfast is served in a conservatory overlooking the river, and has everything you want in a traditional English breakfast. Dinner as well is excellent and guests love the great ales on tap on the pub.

Fantastic Guest Service

The staff at this hotel are warm and attentive, always eager to help in any way they can. Nothing is too much trouble. Be sure to ask for recommendations or directions if you need them.

Negative Reviews

A Cool Feeling

Some guests say that it can be a bit chilly in the rooms, especially when it's windy and cool outside. Plus, the drafty sash windows rattle quite a bit. You may want to pack an extra blanket and sweater to be on the safe side.

Poor Wi-Fi Signal

Be aware that some guests say the in-room Wi-Fi signal is quite weak, perhaps even non-existent most of the time. If you need to access your electronic devices, you'll need to make other arrangements.

No other issues reported

So far, no other recent negative opinion has been expressed by guests about this hotel.
