Positive Reviews

Happiness at the inn

Spotlessly clean, rooms here are great value with lovely heated bathrooms and large showers. Get the picture? Nothing to complain about here. *Book ASAP …there won’t always be a room available at this particular inn!

Great: ‘Inn house’ catering

If you opt for breakfast (*’room only’ is an option if preferred), it’s freshly prepared, delicious and there’s plenty of it. Similarly, dining in the Restaurant is equally appealing and it’s worth noting the themed nights: Tuesday (curry) and Thursday (steak) Sunday lunch, too is one of the many highlights here Portions are generous; a concept that even extends to the room supplies of teas and coffees.

Perfect location

Jameston is very close to the coast and the busy tourist jaunts of Manorbier, Tenby and Pembroke – but it is quieter here, with more space Consequently, hassle free parking is just one of many sources of happiness at this inn!

Negative Reviews

Poor sound proofing

It’s either poor sound proofing or noisy neighbouring guests – or a combination of both. Either way, the noise from guests returning late at night from the flesh pots of Tenby (?) can be a disturbing factor.

Lack of customer care

It maybe a case of staff addressing each other in Welsh just to annoy English speaking ‘paying’ guests, or perhaps they are here from overseas and simply don’t understand the language. One thing’s for sure: the impression is that the guest is an inconvenience they’d prefer to do without In an area of Wales where there’s plenty of accommodation choices - that isn’t a problem!

Get the breakfast chef to prepare dinner

Evening meals are disappointing, even if you manage to catch one. the restaurant closes early! Breakfast, on the other hand, is excellent. Standards are inconsistent.
