Positive Reviews

Located near the old town walls.

Located very close to the medieval town walls, the beer garden is actually nestled amongst them giving lots of character. It is just a short walk to the beach.

Pet friendly.

A handful of guests have stated that they’ve been allowed to take their dogs with them and that it is one of the few places in the local area that allows this.

Negative Reviews

Can be noisy.

The windows are not effective enough at keeping out noise and the seagulls and general town centre noises can wake you early in the morning. Mixed with the fact the bar has a late license you may not get the best night’s sleep.

Expensive for what it is.

Guests feel that it does not represent very good value for money. For the room rate paid they have expected much more and it hasn’t lived up to these expectations. There is no on site car parking, and the nearest car park is expensive which also needs taking into consideration when planning your stay.

Rooms need some TLC.

Rooms are starting to look tired and in need of refurbishment. Furniture is quite old and in places the carpets need refurbishment. There have been complaints that rooms are not clean enough and therefore guests have recommended that it needs a deep clean. Guests have also been surprised that if staying for more than one night their rooms have not been refreshed.
