Positive Reviews

Lovely staff

The owners of this inn have made it a priority to extend the warmest of welcomes to each of their guests. The staff reflect this by being some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. They love to help out and have lots of useful tips about the local area.

A wonderful setting

This inn is perfectly located in the middle of some beautiful English countryside. You have the Shire horse centre right next door and spectacular views from the garden. The building itself is very old and quaint but has been refurbished to a high standard.

Delicious breakfast

The breakfast served up in the restaurant is simply delicious with many options on offer. You can have cooked or cold, and if you choose a hot breakfast then it is cooked to order. The food later in the day is also said to be quite tasty and very filling.

Negative Reviews

Slow service

The people that work here are undoubtedly polite and friendly, but the service is quite slow at times. You may have a long wait for your food which isn't ideal if you're hungry or running on a tight schedule. Best to give yourself plenty of time before ordering your meal.

A little pricey

The rooms while comfortable are a bit on the pricey side. It's set in the countryside, but it seems that city prices are what you are paying. It's a nice place but just not worth that much money to some guests. Not really ideal for budget travellers.
