Review Highlights
Positive Reviews
  • Breakfast Time

Having breakfast included in the price is good value The location is appreciated, being close to the station and shops, and with cheap parking available Check-in is efficient, and staff very helpful.

  • Great Party?

One visitor reported the hotel to be professional throughout, and exactly to his liking, and enjoyed a 'great social gathering'. The shower is great, with gel provided and plenty of hot water.

  • Well Placed

The location is appreciated, being close to the station and shops, and with cheap parking available. Check in is efficient, and staff very helpful.

Negative Reviews
  • Breakfast Included but Done to a Budget?

The range of cooked food is limited: 'Some bacon and/or mushroom - or even just cold ham and cheese - would have been a big improvement '. 'Awful breakfast with poor choice '. Generally the food comes in for criticism. An ordered Ultimate chicken Burger morphed into an Ultimate Beefburger, but without the Ultimate (garnishing) element.

  • Shortages

The Wi-Fi is poor, and the beds have cheap mattresses. If you do eat in the restaurant then a service charge is automatically added to your bill. The kitchen is quite often not very well stocked. On numerous occasions guests ordered items only to be told that they were off the menu or even worse: orders were taken and then arrive missing elements.

  • On the Noisy Side and Update Needed

Noise made sleeping difficult: 'We were on the noisier side of the hotel. there is a nightclub nearby, however we were too tired for this to keep us awake - could be a problem if you're a light sleeper! '. A new customer who wanted to alter his booking was unable to get through to an unattended reception desk Generally infrastructure shortcomings boil down to lack of investment, Guests stated: 'This is the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in'.
