Gretenham B&B

Gretenham is an Edwardian town house situated on rising ground just off the town centre of Swanage and close to the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs. Durlston Country Park with cliffs and magnificent coastal scenery is a manageable 20 minute walk from the property or under five minutes by car.

We welcome guests from all over the world to our B&B and hope they experience the feeling of being looked after in the traditional English way.

The two rooms are both ensuite. The front room is east facing and does have a sea 'view'. The large ensuite has a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. The bed is King-size and the room is decorated with modern mirrored furniture complemented with white linen.

The room at the rear is smaller and has a garden view with a view to the hills above Swanage. This is a standard double room with small ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin. Quality white linen. Good for one or two nights stay.

Tea and coffee making facilities are free in both rooms as are essential toiletries and towels.

Breakfast is served between 7.45 and 9.30 and is pre-ordered the night before.

Full central heating and log fire in winter.

Parking is available in the road outside the B&B on a first come basis. Parking is also available on adjoining roads which involve an uphill walk.

The house is furnished with a mix of contemporary furniture and antiques, paintings and prints of the local area reflecting John's past career as an auctioneer having appeared on Flog It and other antiques related TV programmes.
