Positive Reviews

Beautiful Country Location

This hotel is located in a very quiet, rural area, ideally situated for visiting the Mull of Galloway and surrounding areas. Other nearby sights that guests say are a must visit include Logan Botanical Gardens and Port Patrick. It's also just a 15-minute drive to Cairnryan Port where you can catch a ferry to Ireland.

Staff Eager to Please

You'll be well-looked after at this hotel. The staff is friendly and warm. They take the time to try and get to know their guests and the result is a cosy feeling. They are full of local knowledge as well, so be sure and ask plenty of questions.

You Won't Go Hungry

From breakfast to dinner, you'll find plenty of choices for well-cooked meals. Breakfast is delicious and portions are generous. You'll be well set-up for the rest of your day. After a long day of sightseeing, your evening meal will be plentiful and excellent.

Negative Reviews

Facilities Need TLC

From the hotel's decor to the rooms themselves, things are a bit tired and dated. Attention to detail is lacking. Repairs are needed, like new carpet and paint. A little TLC would go a long way at this hotel.

Heating Issues

Rooms are not individually climate controlled, and some guests felt that rooms tended to be on the cold side. You may want to bring an extra blanket and sweater just in case.

Transportation Needed

One of the great things about this hotel is that it's in a quiet, rural area. However, that also means you will need a car to get around, as it's a fair distance to the next village for access to other pubs, restaurants, and shops.
