About Ship Inn

Overlooking Stonehaven’s historic harbour, the three-star Ship Inn was built in 1771 and offers modern amenities.

Each room has en suite facilities plus a flat-screen television, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making equipment, clock radio, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms have harbour views.

The Ship Inn has 11 private guestrooms in different styles and is one of the oldest inns in the area.

A full Scottish breakfast is included in every stay. There is also an onsite restaurant, The Captain’s Table, which focuses on dishes that use locally caught seafood. There is also a bar that serves real ales and more than 100 varieties of whiskies.

This inn is near Stonehaven’s harbour, about a 30-minute drive from the centre of Aberdeen and an hour from the Cairngorms National Park. Local activities include Dunnottar Castle, Stonehaven Open Air Heated Pool, Crathes Castle, and Stonehaven Golf Club.

Scenic and serene location.

A highlight for many guests who stay here is the tranquillity of the location. Near Stonehaven's harbour, rooms provide excellent views of the water as well as being well located for scenic cliff walks to Dunnottar Castle.

All of the staff are incredibly polite.
