The rooms are very clean and comfortable and although the building is old Victorian the renovated rooms have all the modern features you could need. The beds are very big and comfortable. The bathroom has a huge bath and a separate shower with good water

Negative Reviews

Riverside Annex Can Feel Detached.

The Riverside Annex is approximately 100 yards away from the main house and is therefore detached. Although it has great views of the river Tay the building can seem a bit quiet as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the main house.

Dated Decor.

Although the rooms in the Riverside Annex are quite modern the main house is a renovated Victorian mansion with lots of old trappings and a reserved and traditional sense of decor. Some guests have described the decor as tired whilst others have enjoyed t

For children staying with their parents Ballathie House provides fold out beds to be placed inside the rooms. These beds are practical and the extra-effort and service is appreciated, however the beds are still somewhat uncomfortable.
