Positive Reviews

Superb breakfast

Guests absolutely loved the brilliant English breakfast that included cereals, bread, fruit juice, eggs and much more. There was plenty of choice and it was cooked deliciously. The portions served were filling enough to pull the guests through the day.  Moreover, the breakfast room was decorated beautifully, which made it more special.

Beer garden

There is a huge garden where a wide range of draught beers, wines and spirits are served. All the guests enjoyed their drink as well as the spectacular views of the country side. Ales and ciders from local micro-breweries, Batemans XB, Hopshackle Simarillo and Abbeydale Absolution were a hit favourite amongst the guests.

Well-maintained rooms

Rooms were spotlessly clean and excellently maintained. Beds were very comfortable. They were spacious and very aesthetically decorated.  Guests were made to feel welcome by simple touches like White Company goods and baskets of ladies toiletries in the en suite bathrooms.

Negative Reviews

Slow Wi-Fi connection

Few guests were very disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi connection was very bad. Having a good Wi-Fi connection is always a plus point that is preferred by the guests.

The lack of sound insulation between the floors made the rooms very noisy. Guests could hear people moving around on the floor above, which did not allow them to sleep for a long time.

Poorly lit rooms

Some of the guests felt that the rooms were very poorly lit which made it difficult for them to work or read. They felt that brighter lights would make the rooms look better too.
