Positive Reviews

Serene Location

This hotel occupies a tranquil location next to the River Great Ouse. Guests can enjoy many of the riverside walking and hiking trails. There is lovely scenery all around, including thatched-roof houses on your walk into St. Ives.

Food Hits the Spot

You'll find plenty of choices for breakfast including salmon, cereals, pastries, and eggs benedict, cooked-to-order. The pub is open for lunch and dinner and offers a great selection of well-prepared dishes at reasonable prices.

Fantastic Guest Service

The friendly staff at this hotel offers professional service in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble, and staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, whether that's fetching more towels or giving directions to the best walking trails nearby.

Negative Reviews

Rooms on the Small Side

Rooms are a bit small and in need of some TLC. If you are on the larger side, you may find the rooms quite cramped. Minor details need updating as well, especially the weak shower pressure.

Poor Wi-Fi Signal

Although the Wi-Fi is complimentary, it is hard to connect and according to guests, way too slow to be usable.

Possible Noise Issues

This hotel is home to a busy pub, therefore pub noise throughout the hotel, and into the night, may prove bothersome. Be aware that many guests report that room number four especially can be noisy due to a kitchen fan outlet right below the window.
