First built in 1763, this three-star bed and breakfast is one of the oldest homes in St. Augustine.

Ten individual rooms are available. All rooms have a flat-screen television, free Wi-FI, sitting area, and a private bathroom. Some also feature a fireplace, whirlpool tubs, and furnished balcony.

Loaner bikes are available so guests can tour the city. On the property are a garden and parlour with a fireplace. The Casa de Solana offers free private parking at a nearby location. Room and concierge services are available too.

Breakfasts are prepared daily with fresh ingredients. The menu changes daily and can be altered to accommodate dietary needs. Also offered at the guest house is a wine and cheese social each afternoon.

Positive Reviews

Historic, picturesque property.

This bed and breakfast is right in St. Augustine's historic district, so there are a lot of cool sites in the area. Cobblestone roads and Spanish colonial architecture are really neat to look at. The home is also one of the oldest in the city and has a lot of character.

Accommodation has a great atmosphere.

Comfortable and well-appointed rooms create a relaxing atmosphere at this bed and breakfast. Adding to this are the friendly, professional staff as well as the social hour in the evenings which feature wine and cheeses.

Breakfasts are a real treat.

Every day the breakfast menu at this guest house offers something different and unique. No matter what guests are treated to, they find the food to be delicious; even when recipes have to be altered to meet special needs.

Negative Reviews

Parking is a problem for many.

Finding a parking spot in St. Augustine is difficult, especially around the guest house. There is an area set aside for guests, but it is several blocks away and is challenging for less abled guests.

Bathroom plumbing needs work.

Private bathroom facilities need some minor maintenance. The main issue guests have is with the plumbing and the challenges there are in getting the right water temperature in the shower.

Tall guests should avoid the suite.

Accommodations at this bed and breakfast include a romantic suite, but this room is in the attic. As a result the ceilings are slanted and taller guests may find themselves constantly bumping their head.
