Good service is a high priority at Herriots. Staff are repeatedly described as very friendly and helpful, which is a great reputation to have. For example, if there is space available, the staff at Herriots may even give you a free room upgrade.

Expensive drinks.

While the food was rightly described as delicious, the bar prices do not go down well with all guests. Don't worry though - there are plenty of local pubs for you to explore instead.

Usual problems you get with old buildings.

Herriots is a Victorian listed building, so be prepared for that when you arrive. Some guests report squeaky floorboards and excessive noise on a weekend due to a lack of soundproofing. There are also lots of stairs to navigate if you are on an upper floo
