Positive Reviews

Lovely setting in quiet peaceful surroundings.

Royal Glen is circled by landscaped gardens for you to wander around and it's just a short walk down to the coast. You can enjoy a genuine felling of tranquility when you stay here.

All the staff are professional and helpful.

The people that work here have been well trained and offer their help in a very courteous manner. They'll assist with whatever request you have and are also friendly enough to have an informal chat with.

The hotel has a unique old world charm.

This hotel is a historic building that was built in the 18th-century, and it retains many charms from a bygone era. It offers something uniquely different when compared to modern hotels with little character.

Negative Reviews

Some of the rooms are a bit small for the price.

Not all the rooms have been created equal here, so you might pull the short straw and end up with one of the small ones. Ask politely if you can change rooms, but if not be prepared for a cramped stay.

The free Wi-Fi is a bit temperamental.

You will probably run into some trouble if you need to use the free Wi-Fi in your room. The signal doesn't reach to all corners of the property and the connection can drop out for no apparent reason.

Not the best value for your money.

While Royal Glen is certainly one of a kind, you might find that it is a bit overpriced for what it actually provides. To be honest, you could probably find better value accommodation nearby.
