Positive Reviews

The expected high standards.

At least, when you go to a trademark hotel, you know what to expect and the popularity, locally, of this one is an indication of the quality and value on offer. It doesn’t end there, though. Staff are brilliant and give the place some individuality, some

Super clean rooms.

Modern, clean and with everything you could want, there is a tendency for them to be on the small side but, by and large, rooms are kept in immaculate order.

Why eat anywhere else?.

Shrewsbury is a fascinating town with lots of bars, cafés and restaurants. For variety, quality and value though, there is little reason to step outside the door. Menus are varied, well priced and well prepared. Breakfast, too, is really quite exceptional

Negative Reviews

A parking lot: of small proportions.

So, you’ve got your permit from reception but that only allows you to park subject to spaces being available. Quite often they aren’t, so the permit is worthless.

Noisy alley cats.

Opposite, there’s an alley way and night club. The purpose seems to be to create as much noise as possible so as to annoy hotel guests. The ploy works! Going on till well into the early hours, how did they get a licence for this and what is the local auth

A little heated comment.

Rooms are compact, but that’s the only problem, apart from them being constantly too hot. A bit like politicians pay increases, the heating system seems to be uncontrollable! Open a window and you let the noise in, so there's no solution.
