Positive Reviews

Clean and comfy rooms

Rooms here are described as being of a good standard. Guests report that the various rooms are clean and maintained to a good standard. Rooms appear to have been recently refurbished and guests have appreciated the comfortable beds and high quality TVs.

Great food

The food on offer here attracts plenty of positive feedback in its own right. Guests enjoy the free breakfast as well as lunch and dinners in the pub, finding that the menu offers a good range of dishes at reasonable prices.

Pleasant atmosphere

Overall, guests have enjoyed the atmosphere at this pub. The staff is found to be friendly and welcoming and there is usually a decent selection of locals in. Those guests who dined at the pub found the place relaxing although many have also enjoyed the jovial surroundings of the beer garden.

Negative Reviews

Stairs could pose a problem

Guests note that rooms are accessed via stairs that are narrow and fairly steep. This is likely to present a challenge for any guest who has issues with their mobility.

Surroundings can be noisy

Reviews suggest that you can expect a fair amount of noise here. The music in the pub goes on until late at night for starters. Plus, there is quite a lot of noise from the street from early in the morning - expect bin collections and local cafes setting out their chairs.

Poor Wi-Fi service

Guest feedback indicates that the Wi-Fi here could be much improved. While there doesn't seem to be too many issues getting online in the pub, the rooms are a different story. Some guests have found the signal weak while others have been unable to get online at all.
