Positive Reviews

Sleepy Sheringham

The location in a nice residential area of the town, contributes towards a good night’s sleep in these peaceful surroundings. Depending, of course, on the behaviour of fellow guests!

Super breakfast

If not one of the DIY brigade, the breakfast on offer here is of good quality and ticks all the boxes. A great starter to the day.

No strain on the train

The station is only a few minutes’ walk away so it’s an easy stroll to the hostel.

Friendly staff

This is a fascinating area and ‘a place that time almost forgot’ – in the nicest possible way. So, in order to enjoy it to the full, the visitor needs advice and guidance. That’s here in beach bucket loads with really friendly staff keen to see that you don’t miss a thing during your visit.

Negative Reviews

Towels are luxuries

Remember, you are in a hostel, so be prepared and don’t assume that everything you would expect in a B+B will be provided here. It won’t – and this includes towels and other basics!

Shabby rooms

This isn’t down to cleaning alone, although a few corners seem to have been cut here. Rooms, particularly those with multiple beds, are cramped and stuffy. Generally, though, they could all benefit from a little investment sprinkled with TLC. That would make all the difference!

Questionable value

OK, it’s comparatively cheap but, even so, breakfast can be a bit dubious and unappealing and over these floors, at night, even a scurrying mouse would sound like a herd of elephants.
