Positive Reviews

Beautifully presented.

Guests are impressed with how the hotel has been lovingly restored, tastefully decorated and lavishly furnished.

Trip down memory lane.

Travellers to the Grosvenor Arms enjoy the scenery and nostalgia of being so close to the Gold Hill, home of Britain"s favourite advert (Hovis.) It is within walking distance, with lots to see and do there.

Great Food.

Many guests have commented on the great seasonal, locally sourced quality food on offer at the hotel, feeling that it is reasonably priced in comparison to other eateries in the area.

Negative Reviews

Pricey for what is on offer.

Some guests of the Grosvenor Arms Shaftesbury have felt that while the Hotel has been furnished to a high standard, some rooms did not live up to their expectations, being cramped, with limited views, and no real wow factor.

Short staff.

Several guests have felt that staff at the hotel struggle under pressure, and lack in personable skills, not being as helpful or polite as they could have been.

Noisy at night.

Some guests who have stayed in rooms that overlook the courtyard have complained that it can get very noisy during the evening here, particularly if live music is being played-possibly worth considering if you are a light sleeper or have young children wi
