About Hotel Silken Al-Andalus Sevilla

Located on the southern fringes of historic Seville lies the Silken Al-Andalus Palace. Verdant gardens and inviting outdoor swimming pools make this stylish four-star hotel stand out like an oasis in a desert.

All of the hotel's 623 bright, air-conditioned rooms come complete with marble bathrooms and offer Internet access. Minibars, satellite TVs and safety deposit boxes are standard features.

The hotel has a large outdoor pool and separate children's pool, a variety of sun terraces and relaxation areas, and 15,000m2 of lush garden areas. Indoors there is a gym, beauty salon and a cavernous, atrium-like lounge area.

Buffet breakfasts, international dishes and gourmet Mediterranean treats are served daily in the Restaurant Itálica and the Silken Bistro. Light bites and beverages are available from the poolside bar and snack bar. Alcoholic drinks are proffered 'till late.

Seville's beautiful city centre is a 10-15-minute drive from the Silken Al-Andalus Palace. This accommodation is also known as Al Andalus Silken, Andalus Palace, Hotel Al Andalus Palace, and Hotel Silken Al.

Positive Reviews

Beautiful outdoor areas with plentiful sunbathing options

A gorgeous outdoor pool, swaying palms all around, beautifully tended gardens foreground and back, and a very healthy selection of loungers, hammocks and chill-out beds available to all: this is how all Mediterranean hotel outdoor spaces should be, surely.

Hotel feels spacious and airy throughout

While it's fair to say the Silken Al-Andalus Palace isn't particularly palatial (it's too modern), it does feel very spacious, light and airy The guest bedrooms, the restaurants and – of course – the huge, glass enclosed lobby lounge area, all engender a very strong impression of lightness and space that feels very conducive indeed.

Great base for sports fans

If you're a big fan of football or golf then this hotel should be high on your list of places to visit Why? Well, the Benito Villamarin football stadium – home to Real Betis – is just three blocks north, while the Pineda Golf Club is no more than a mile away Happy days!

Negative Reviews

No in-room tea/coffee making facilities

How can you call your hotel a palace when it doesn't even fulfil Guests's most basic needs, i e allow them to make a cuppa in their room whenever they get the urge Royally disappointing.

Swimming is prohibited during the winter

If you're looking to stay here between November and March then you should bear in mind that you'll not be able to swim - the outdoor pool is only open from April to October There is no indoor pool either so, sadly, swimming is just not an option here during wintertime.

Not much else here to spoil the good times

If you dismiss the lack of in-room tea/coffee making facilities and gloss over the seasonal pool opening policy, you'll find there isn't really much to grumble about here.
