Positive Reviews

Proprietors couldn't be more welcoming.

There is a sign in The Sheridan's reception which reads: 'Enter as strangers, leave as friends'. This sums up the jovial, chatty and highly likeable owners' approach perfectly as they really do make colossal efforts to ensure all of their guests feel well

Location is very convenient.

With the wonderful Peasholm Park just along the road, and the Castle and Open Air Theatre both about half-a-mile away, it's clear this is a pretty good base for sightseeing. The fact that the nearest beach is little more than a five-minute walk away tops

Home-cooked meals are superb.

Belly-busting cooked breakfasts replete with black pudding and divine evening meals served with home-made stuffing and Yorkshire puddings; this guest house is the very epitome of good wholesome Yorkshire cuisine. Glorious.
