Positive Reviews

Tasty breakfast

Guests love the quality and choice of breakfast in the morning. If a full-English seems a bit much, you have a wide variety of other cooked options, as well as a good choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals. The breakfast is tasty and well-cooked.

Cosy and welcoming guesthouse

If you are partial to a cosy and family ambiance when you travel, this guesthouse should fit the bill. Guests appreciate the efforts of the owners to make them feel welcome and at home - doing all they can to make their stay as smooth as possible - particularly in helping find a place to park! Guests also find the rooms very comfortable and clean.

Nice location

Whilst you are only ten minutes' walk from the seaside fun of Scarborough's lively North Bay and its sandy beach, the area is relatively quiet. Guests feel safe here and enjoy popping along to Peasholme Park, just a few minutes away, or taking in a concert at the open-air theatre.

Negative Reviews

Parking problems

Scarborough is notoriously difficult for parking - especially in peak periods  - and this guesthouse is no exception. Despite the best efforts of the hosts, you may still find it a struggle to find a place nearby.

Damned seagulls

Although guests realise that the hosts can't do a lot to prevent it, they are often awoken in the middle of the night by the sound of seagulls screeching or moving around on the roof.

Rooms can get warm

Guests sometimes find the rooms, especially in the attic, can be quite warm in the summer months. Just make sure you request a fan!
