Positive Reviews

Friendly welcome.

The welcome is typical of what you would expect from a family run guest house on the North Yorkshire coast. There’s plenty to do and the owners will ensure that you go out armed with all the information you need to enjoy your stay to the full.

Great breakfast.

Cooked to order, breakfast is excellent and benefits further from being served in the attractive, sea facing dining room.

Car parking.

OK, parking is limited but, in an area where many places don’t have any at all, just be grateful for what is here. Who knows, you may strike it lucky and get a space!

Negative Reviews

Tired + dated.

It’s got that tired and dated feel about it. Rooms can be a bit small + cramped. Get a bay windowed room if possible.

Summer heat.

Rooms that don’t face the sea can get intensely hot during the day. You don’t expect it of course, but air con would be great here.

Parking purgatory.

Even if you can park your car, you probably won’t be able to get it out again! Still, it is free – so guests need to liaise with each other to make it work.
