Positive Reviews

The rooms are clean and comfortable

Chapel Cross Guesthouse has recently been renovated which makes everything fresh and clean. The guest rooms and bathrooms are spotless and the comfortable beds, made up with soft sheets, are quite inviting.

The staff is great

The couple who runs this guesthouse is warm and welcoming and they make you feel right at home from the moment they say hello. They cannot do enough for you and are happy to point you in the direction of local reastaurants, pubs and shops as well as the most popular local sights.

Pets are welcome

If you like to go on holiday with your favourite furry friend, then you will be glad to know that pets are welcome here. There are no fees associated with this amenity.

Negative Reviews

There is no tea tray in the guest rooms

Although there is a communal tea and coffee area in the upper hall at Chapel Cross Guesthouse, there is no tea tray in the room. This means you have to get dressed before you can have your first hit of caffeine in the morning which can be inconvenient.

The showers are small

The showers are on the small side here which can be problematic if you need extra room to manoeuvre. Also, some guests noted the lack of hooks or towel bars near the shower.

Things can get noisy

Although this is a tiny town, this guest house is centrally located and susceptible to street noise, especially on weekends and during peak travel season.
