Positive Reviews

A relaxing setting

Rooms with sea views and what amounts to a private beach, add up to a perfect environment for a cheap, beach holiday. Beds are comfortable. Opinions vary regarding breakfast but, as it’s free, it does at least help to keep costs down.

Friendly staff

Everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful. They all seem to be very happy too – and so they should, as they are lucky enough to be working in this sunny, beach-side environment.

Good facilities

It’s good that they’ve got the cinema and games room. These facilities help to bring people together socially.

Negative Reviews

“Arrivederci Roma”

The words of Mario Lanza’s song (*English translation: ‘Goodbye Rome’) certainly ring true today – and here. This place is miles away from the centre of the city! It takes over 30 minutes by train! An hour plus, travelling there and back, is quite a chunk out of the day. You will yearn for the buzz and activity of Rome though – because, after a while, you’ll find that there is nothing to do here and it is quite boring. Add to this the fact that, apart from a pizza place, there aren’t many places in the vicinity where you can eat cheaply.

Basic and not too clean

You shouldn’t expect luxuries at these prices, so don’t be disappointed by the Spartan setting and facilities. Cleaning and maintenance are way down the list of preferred staff duties.

A sunny outlook - but with some shady features

It’s a badly lit and quite an ugly building and these negatives are emphasised by the otherwise appealing beach-front setting. Particularly during the busy season – and with 130 beds – it can get noisy at night, but that’s to be expected.
