Positive Reviews

Full of ambiance and charm

The hotel building itself is almost 200 years old and the charm and ambiance of days gone by can easily be seen and felt. The rooms are cosy, decorated with both antique touches and modern conveniences. Even with the quaint historic touches, guests can still access Wi-Fi and relax in a recliner while watching TV.

Quebec to the "Q"

The hotel is an easy ten-minute walk to all that Old Quebec has to offer tourists. There are dozens of popular landmarks, museums, and attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. At the hotel, guests can look forward to a homemade traditional Quebec breakfast every morning.

Hostess with the mostest

The owner of the hotel is warm and welcoming. She rolls out the red carpet for each guest with personal attention. She is bilingual, which helps for those speaking only French or English. The whole atmosphere is comfortable and guests can look forward to common areas to chat with fellow guests.

Negative Reviews

Bathrooms don't keep up

While the rest of the stay is a great blend of old and new, the bathrooms don't keep up that trend. They mostly feel and look just old. They are outdated and don't have modern features for convenience. The shared baths also present some scheduling issues when the place is full.
