Set in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Teide Volcano, Bahía Príncipe San Felipe has some spectacular views.

The 261 rooms have either ocean or volcano views. Two accessible rooms are reserved for guests with disabilities. All have twin/king/queen size beds. The air-conditioned rooms have satellite TV, minibar and direct dial telephone.

The hotel has swimming pools along with sun terrace, fitness centre, tennis court, spa and a tropical garden. There is paid/free Wi-Fi, free parking, concierge services and organised children’s activities. There are function rooms and conference facilities.

Fantastic food, great service

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms

Superb choice at breakfast

Guests have complimented this hotel on the excellent breakfast offered. One can have cooked or continental breakfast or both as desired, and there is a great selection from which to choose There is fruit, toast, croissants, pancakes and much more, as well as excellent coffee.

No tea-making facilities in rooms

As most UK hotels and guest houses have tea-making facilities in the rooms, a few UK guests mentioned feeling the absence of these facilities at this hotel.

Noisy seaside

Some of the guests mentioned that the rooms on the sea side of the hotel experienced a lot of noise at night, with the waves crashing onto the beach. It was suggested by more than one guest that those who had a problem with noise at night should ask to be allotted a room on the ‘volcano view’ side of the hotel.

No free Wi-Fi

This was a recurring complaint of guests – the absence of free Wi-Fi This often led to unexpected expenditure, at six euro per day, especially as many resorts and hotels offer free Wi-Fi.
