Positive Reviews

The Perfect Perch

The guestrooms' classic design and roominess is well received by visitors, who find even the standard rooms to be luxurious, comfy and spotlessly clean. Travelers love the views from rooms, which take in the luscious gardens, Port of Spain and cloud-forested peaks of the Northern Range.

Delectable Dining Delights

If your room doesn't include breakfast, travelers recommend paying extra to try the delicious buffet at least once. Those who do love the selection of dishes and the service received. In fact, the quality of dining across the resort gets consistently glowing reviews. Others find food and drinks pricey, but worth it.

Executive Extras

Some rooms and suites come with executive lounge access. A complimentary breakfast is served there, after which some executives take advantage of the free Wi-Fi to catch up with emails. After a hard day attending conferences, other travelers like the island-inspired cocktails served of an evening.

Negative Reviews

Weak Wi-Fi Worries

Frustrated guests regularly comment on the poor basic Wi-Fi connection offered at this resort. A weak and intermittent service forces some guests to upgrade to the paid faster connection, but even this doesn't provide the speeds some guests are used to. Those with executive lounge access seem to fare better.

Self-Service for Swimmers

Though lots of guests rate the pool area, a few think it needs updating entirely. Some find this hotel's pool-side service a little hit and miss, leading a few reviewers to question the appropriateness of a service charge added to every check. Other disappointed travelers report the pool bar being closed during their stay.

Unwanted Hiking Holiday

Prepare to get fit with guests reporting long walks between the parking lot and the hotel entrance, and also to some guestrooms. Problems with some of the hotel's elevators seem to add further distances. Guests with reduced mobility can request assistance from friendly staff.
