Positive Reviews

Great food and decent prices for a clubhouse menu.

The Vale Golf and Country Club offers both fine dining and typical clubhouse fare, and does pretty well with both cuisines and price points. Many are impressed by the presentation, portion size, preparation, service, and cost, given the setting. It's a wo

Lovely location and setting even for non-golfers.

Not everyone who stays here is a golfer, and that's just fine by those guests. Whether you choose this place for the beautiful scenery and tranquillity, or are accompanying a golfer, you won't be disappointed or feel out of place. One of the draws is cert

A clean and convenient venue for business meetings.

Corporate meetings and retreats feel at ease here, hosting events or presentations in a clean environment. The ability to add leisure activities to help alleviate work pressures is a welcomed bonus.

Uncomfortable beds are too hard to sleep well on.

The mattresses are too firm, thus sleep is achy or doesn't maintain comfort. Another complaint is that the double size bed is really two singles pushed together, which is disappointing, given the luxury ambiance.

Nothing special about the common English breakfast.

There is often the presumption that the standard English breakfast may be a tad more special here at this country club lodge. Unfortunately, it's not different than what you would get at pretty much every hotel offering the same.
