Positive Reviews

Great transport links to get around Paris.

Most previous guests of the Murat hotel enjoyed the location, finding it convenient to get to a number of top Paris attractions. It has good transport links nearby, making it easy to explore the city.

Good value for money.

While the Murat is no five-star hotel, most guests considered it good value for money. The rooms aren’t particularly large, but are adequate for two people and the hotel is in good decorative order. The nearby transport links and free Wi-Fi also make this a good value hotel for visitors to Paris.

Quirky and charming with clean rooms.

Most guests liked the quirky Parisian charm of the Murat. It’s not a chain hotel and the decor and set-up is unique. The rooms and other areas of the hotel are clean and tidy, and most guests enjoyed their stay due to these factors.

Negative Reviews

No air-conditioning in rooms.

Some guests who stayed at the Murat over the hotter summer months found it uncomfortably hot in their rooms due to the hotel not having air-conditioning units in them. Some guests said they had to choose between opening the window and letting in the noise from the street outside, or having the window closed and becoming too hot.

Small and basic.

This is a small and basic hotel. The lift is small and the bedrooms are not particularly spacious, but are cleaned regularly and are comfortable to stay in. Some previous guests’ expectations were not met, but if you are aware that this is not a five-star establishment, then Murat can be used as a comfortable and convenient base from which to explore Paris.

Can hear people around the hotel.

A number of previous guests have commented that they can hear other guests walking around on the floors above them and on the stairs. Doors being shut in other parts of the hotel have also disturbed some guests in their rooms.
