Positive Reviews

A Good Location

Guests were happy about this hotel's location. They thought it was within a reasonable distance of several amenities ranging from two train stations to several restaurants, including some from familiar brands. Many guests agreed the location was one of the handiest things about staying at this hotel.

A Cool Stone Chapel

Guests loved that this hotel features a European-style stone chapel inside its building. It certainly wasn't something guests were accustomed to seeing in Japan, but they thought the feature added a lot of character and made them say it'd be an interesting setting for special events.

The Staff Are Pleasant

Many reviews came from guests who had stayed in other properties around Japan, and they remarked that the service in this hotel was better than expected, comparatively. They noted that the staff spoke English competently and were forthcoming when offering assistance.

Negative Reviews

Train Noises

Guests complained that the soundproofing was not adequate in the hotel. As a result, guests were able to hear train noises at all hours of the day and night, all from a perpetually busy and large  station.

The Rooms Are Small

Guests remarked that the rooms are generally very small. Frequently, guests reported that they decided not to unpack their luggage because there was not enough room to do so. There were also comments about how it was hard to move around the room when more than one guest was occupying it.

A Dated Appearance

Guests thought this hotel could really do with a makeover. They said the décor is several decades out of date, and the facilities are starting to show their age.  This shortcoming tended to tarnish first impressions.
