Positive Reviews

A unique experience

It's a certainty that there will not be many more bed and breakfasts with the same character as this place. Indeed, it may well be a unique experience. The bed and breakfast is housed in an old train station, and guests really enjoy the unusual location.

Great breakfasts

In general, guests have positive things to say about the breakfasts here. The cooked breakfast is made with fresh local ingredients where possible, and guests appreciate this, saying that it meal fills them up for the day ahead.

Wonderful hosts

Small bed and breakfasts such as this live or die by the quality of service and hospitality they provide, so it is pleasing to report that the overwhelming majority of guests have only good things to say about the hosts here. They are described as warm, welcoming, and friendly - just what you would hope for ahead of your stay.

Negative Reviews

Trains pass your window

Though it might seem odd considering it is a former train station, before they arrived some guests did not appreciate that a still-active railway line passes by this bed and breakfast. As such, there is noise from a live train and some guests find this off-putting.

Blackout curtains would be handy

Guests report the curtains at this accommodation to be quite light and not great at keeping the sun out on a morning. This is especially a problem during the summer when the sun rises early. Blackout curtains have been suggested as a remedy to this problem.

A little bit dated

Though not a major issue, some guests have said that the accommodation might benefit from a lick of paint here and there as the décor is considered to be slightly old-fashioned.
