Positive Reviews

Great location

The hotel's location is wonderful as it has direct views of the sea and Cardigan Bay, which make it a favourite accommodation choice. There is a possibility of many scenic walks in the area, with views of the bay and also the surrounding countryside.

Friendly staff, clean rooms

The staff members here have been found to be super-friendly, accommodating, obliging and helpful. Guests are warmly welcomed. Jess, the duty manager, is particularly helpful. The rooms have been found to be clean and spacious.

Great food

The food here is well appreciated. It is locally sourced pub fare; well cooked, nicely presented and with a great choice. The breakfast has been mentioned as being particularly satisfying.

Negative Reviews

Cold plates

Some guests were disappointed recently to receive their breakfast served on cold plates. A small issue, but this can make a hot breakfast cold and consequently spoil a guest's enjoyment.

Window lock broken

Some recent guests found the lock broken on their room window recently. They were unable to close the window during the night. As a result, the room was cold and the window prevented sound sleep as it rattled throughout the night.

No food from three to five pm

Because no food is served from three o'clock to five o'clock, some hungry guests who had just arrived were unable to order. So they went to a local chip shop and bought some portions of chips to eat in the hotel bar. They were disallowed from sitting in the bar to eat their chips. This rule of not consuming food from outside on the hotel premises is understandable from the hotel's viewpoint, but it made the guests feel bad.
