Positive Reviews

Top-notch food reported.

Absolutely top-notch restaurant fare was reported across the board by guests, including hearty breakfasts and well-presented, delicious evening meals — including fresh seafood sourced from the surrounding regions — and a fine selection of wines and scotch. On top of this, guests mentioned that meals were served in a lovely dining room.

Warm Scottish welcome, bright and spacious rooms.

Sunny Brae is said to have decently-sized, bright and clean rooms, some of which reportedly have sea views, giving guests the chance to watch out for dolphins.  On top of this, the warm and attentive Scottish welcome offered by hosts was much appreciated, with no little detail forgotten and a willingness to go out of their way for guests noted.

Firth views and a short walk to downtown Nairn.

Guests said the hotel offered fantastic views of the Moray Firth, and the location was also thought excellent for accessing everything in downtown Nairn. Likewise people said there were plenty of Highland attractions to be found nearby, and Inverness can be easily reached by car or rail.

Negative Reviews

Not all convinced by the beds.

A few of those who stayed at Sunny Brae said they were not fans of the beds, given their general comfort — or lack therefore of — their separate duvets or the fact that they were occasionally twin beds pushed together.
