About The Old Inn

The Old Inn is a 16th-century, traditional Cornish village pub with thatched-roof on the picturesque Lizard Peninsula. It offers modern B&B accommodations in Mullion.

The inn has five charming rooms with floral decor and en suite facilities with showers, plus there are oak beds. TVs and tea and coffee making equipment is also available in all the rooms.

The Old Inn has free Wi-Fi in all the public areas and complimentary parking is available at a nearby location.

Positive Reviews

Excellent and tasty food

All the guests simply loved the food in the pub. It was freshly cooked and tasty.  A lot of variety was offered in the menus, being specific menus allocated for kids and imaginative ones for the vegetarians. Meat lovers definitely had a feast too. The food was presented beautifully, tasted sumptuous and was served in generous portions.

Pleasant, welcoming staff

Staff in the inn is extremely pleasant and has a welcoming attitude. The landlady and her staff both were very helpful and always did whatever possible to make the stay of the guests memorable.

Some other positives

The free parking of the hotel was a plus point said the guests. The ambiance of the inn had a nice rustic decor and the thatched roofs looked beautiful. The rooms were clean, quiet and well maintained. Moreover, the inn is ideally located close to all the many shops, coffee houses and supermarkets, as well as nearby tourist attractions.

Negative Reviews

Slow service

Many guests complained about slow, delayed service at the pub. There was a long waiting time for the food being served and though the food was tasty the service delivery was poor. Some guests even said that the beer glasses were not clean.

Refurbishment for rooms

Some guests said that the rooms were a little tired and needed some refurbishment. There was paint coming off some walls and ceilings, and the carpet had some stains.

Poor Wi-Fi

Few guests said that the Wi-Fi signals were poor in all the areas and there was lack of connectivity.
