Positive Reviews

Exceptional food.

It seems that the food prepared at this inn is definitely worthy of the AA Rosette. Guests rave about the quality of food, with comments such as “it was the best steak I ever tasted” commonplace. The menu seems suitably varied and guests appreciated the different places to eat their meal.

Charming surroundings.

There’s little that you won’t like about this historic inn. The property is packed with original features, some of which date back almost 400 years. Guests enjoy the sense of history when they stay here, especially now that modern conveniences are also part of the charm.

Great location.

Set right on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds Area of Natural Beauty, this B&B puts scenic walks just a few steps away. The location also places guests within easy reach of areas such as Worcester, Cheltenham and Oxford.

Negative Reviews

Customer service seems hit and miss.

One point of concern seems to be the standard of customer service. While many guests comment favourably about this aspect of the inn, others came away with a widely different impression. Part of the problem appears to be that the restaurant gets ridiculously busy, sometimes serving more than 200 meals in two hours.

Bathrooms may disappoint.

Guests occasionally mention that they were able to see signs of mould and mildew in the bathrooms. It is perhaps more noticeable because the rest of the property is so well maintained, but it is disappointing regardless.

Minor complaints.

Despite some issues with customer service and mild disappointment with the bathrooms, reviews of the Redesdale Arms are mostly positive. Minor issues are raised about things like hard pillows and weak water pressure but such comments are infrequent.
