Positive Reviews

Lovely location with scenic views.

Most of the rooms at the hotel have nice views of the garden and the surrounding countryside while there are plenty of places to take a leisurely stroll around the area. If you’re looking for a quiet spot for a bit of downtime, this is it.

Nice comfortable rooms.

The rooms are a bit dated but they are comfortable and well maintained, and that lovely view makes all the difference. There’s even room service which is unusual to find in such a small hotel and is a definite bonus.

Nice and polite staff.

The staff are very friendly and do their best to make sure that you are enjoying your stay even if there are a few hiccups along the way. They also have plenty of tips and advice on the local area too that you may not find in the guidebooks.

Negative Reviews

Bathrooms let the place down.

The hotel is quite nice if a little old fashioned but the bathrooms have been noted to be of a low standard in comparison to the rest of the hotel and rooms. They aren’t the cleanest, possibly due to their age, and they are not so well-maintained.

Poorly staffed hotel.

The staff that are on duty do their best, but they are under pressure as there simply aren’t enough of them to cope with the number of guests. This needs to be addressed, so the level of service doesn’t suffer as it does.

Should get a complete refurb.

This hotel is in need of a complete makeover, and while it’s not that bad, to really make it feel like a worthwhile place to stay, some work needs to be done.
