About Hotel Del Principado

Located in Zona Rosa, Hotel Del Principado is set in an unfussy, concrete building on a residential street, near Biblioteca Benjamin Franklin. There are straightforward rooms with wooden floors and wood décor.

Inside each smoke-free room, guests will view cable channels on the 36-inch television, make calls from the phone, and stay in touch over the free Wi-Fi. Valuables can be stored in the private safe, and guests can freshen up in the private bathroom, which includes a shower and hairdryer.

Hotel Del Principado offers its guests a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff. Over by the tours/ticket desk, guests will discover more about what to see and do while in Mexico City. There is an on-venue business centre, too.

A buffet breakfast is offered for a surcharge in dining room, and the hotel restaurant is open for all meals of the day. Room service is available during select hours of the day.

Cuauhtemoc Monument can be reached within five minutes by foot. Teatro Diego Rivera is a nine-minute stroll away.

Positive Reviews

Great location

During your stay on this property, you should be close to sites such as Museo Cera, Zona Rosa, and Angel de la Independencia. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, and have fun, and you can also go sightseeing. It's about ten minutes' walk to the train station, and the ride to the airport is cheap and easy.

Decent rooms and breakfast

This is no palace, but the rooms are quite decent. There's enough room to move around, and the beds are fairly comfortable. The rooms are also clean and come with free bottled water as well as cable TV. In addition, you can have the buffet breakfast included with your room; the options include eggs, bread, cereal, fruits, and other hot dishes with meats and veggies.

Price is manageable

The hotel's pricing is as good as it gets and represents really good value for what it provides. No wonder this will be the perfect place for a budget stay in Mexico City.

Negative Reviews

A little noisy

The vicinity is quite lively, even at night, so expect a bit of street noise if your room is facing that direction. There is also plenty of noise coming from other rooms and other guests in the hotel.

Wi-Fi could be better

The Wi-Fi has its moments and occasionally falls off for no reason. The signal can also be weak sometimes.

No fridge or AC

There is no fridge in the room; there's no air-conditioning system either. And though there's a fan, it should be of little help in the summer heat.
