Basiliani Hotel

Basiliani Hotel is a design hotel in the heart of the Sassi of Matera, in one of the oldest world settings where settlements dating back to the Neolithic Age are still visible.
The design elaborates the minimal structure of the traditional ‘cave-house’ in a contemporary perspective, contrasting modernity with the past in a perfect balance between a contemporary style and ancient dwellings.
The hotel overlooks the Gravina Canyon District and the Archaelogical Park of Rupestrian Churches, both UNESCO sites.
The rooms feature an independent entrance, air-conditioning, en suite bathroom, wifi Internet connection, a satellite flat-screen tv, fridge, minibar, tea/coffee maker, shower, bathtub, safe-deposit box, hair drier.
Free on-street parking is possible outside the limited traffic area. It is also available a covered car park (the fee is € 0,50 per hour).
In any case it is available our free shuttle service from the car park to the hotel (available at the check-in and check-out). All artistic and historic sites are just a short walk from the hotel.
