Positive Reviews

Accommodation with an old-fashioned feel

When it came to first impressions, guests absolutely loved the look and feel of this old-fashioned coaching inn in the centre of March. This property has recently been refurbished and a number of guests are pleased to note that the overall quality of the work here has been good, with the property maintaining a number of original features.

Good for a quick stay

This pub was very popular with those passing through the region. Many feel that the simple accommodation here represents very good value for money and the in-room amenities seem to be solid and reliable.

Daily food deals

This pub offers a menu of traditional, solid grub. Guests also really liked the property's daily food deals, with the pie and pint special being especially popular.

Negative Reviews

More work needed

Despite the recent refurbishment at this pub, a number of visitors still feel that there is work yet to be done, especially in the bathrooms. Many commented that these had a worn, tired feel. Additionally, there were multiple reports of niggling issues with showers here; lack of water pressure and consistently cold water was a commonly reported fault.

A noisy stay

A number of guests noted that ear plugs were given as part of this hotel's in-room amenities. While not all used them, many visitors did note that noise did seem to be a particular problem at this property. Whether it was music from the on-site disco or karaoke night or noise from passing cars, many guests reported less than restful nights here.

Breakfast could be improved

While the lunch and dinner offerings were pretty solid, diners reported that the breakfast here was less than stellar.
