Positive Reviews

Hospitable staff

Thanks to the friendly and hospitable staff members, guests feel very welcome and relaxed here. Guests appreciate the helpful and attentive attitude and appreciate how well the staff members keep the rooms and public areas clean and tidy.

All-day breakfast

Guests are delighted by the provision of a free breakfast while staying at this hostal. They report that a variety of food items is available in the lounge throughout the day alongside tea, coffee and fruit juice. This is really handy for those who want a lie in or an afternoon snack.

Great location in Madrid

The hostel’s location is ideal for guests’ needs. They love being in the culturally rich Barrio de las Letras, which offers Tapas bars and several theatres. It’s also within walking distance of the world-famous Art Triangle of the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza with their stunning works of art.

Negative Reviews

Can be noisy

Perhaps the main disappointment guests have concerns the rooms' poor sound insulation. It seems that the walls are quite thin in places, meaning it is possible to hear the guests next door. Also, the plumbing sometimes makes a noise which can disturb sleep.

Rooms on the small side

Not a major complaint but guests find some of the rooms a little cramped for their liking. There’s also a feeling that the rooms could do with a slight spruce up here and there.
