Positive Reviews

High city-centre value and quality

Rooms are very pleasant and guests particularly mention the huge bed proportions. Unlike some far more expensive city hotels, everything works fine, including the Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Bed linen is of a noticeable high quality. There is no catering but the less adventurous guest finds breakfast, lunch and dinner choices right next door.

Friendly front desk staff is always on hand

Members of staff are very friendly and helpful. Being strangers in town, guests find the 24-hour front desk cover to be reassuring.

A super city centre setting

It is difficult to imagine a more convenient city location. For many, it is an easy walk to Madrid’s iconic attractions, galleries and museums. The Sol Metro Station though is virtually next door to the accommodation, so access to all city areas is so easy. The real bonus for sightseers is the easy access to the Hop on, Hop off tour bus service.

Negative Reviews

Night noises not appreciated

Noise is a real factor here, particularly for light sleepers. The problem is specifically related to the bar below. There is no denying that the location is superb and in the very heart of the city. However, the price to be paid for this comes in the form of incessant night-noise.

No hablamos Ingles

It is surprising to find that, in the heart of this truly cosmopolitan city, a number of members of staff at this establishment do not understand or speak English.
