Positive Reviews

Near sightseeing

For many guests, the number one highlight of this hotel is its location in the city centre. The main tourist attractions are found to be within walking distance as is a wide selection of shops and dining options.

Functional and reasonably priced rooms

While attracting some grumbles, the rooms here are typically described as functional and sufficient for a short stay in Madrid’s city centre. Guests also tend to report that the rooms come at a reasonable price.

Friendly staff

Although the hotel’s front desk doesn't appear to be continually manned, guests find the staff friendly and welcoming. The local knowledge of the staff is especially appreciated when it comes to booking tours and tickets.

Negative Reviews

Disappointing aspects to rooms

The rooms here, while found to be functional, also attract criticism from guests. The biggest complaint is that the rooms are too small although guests also encounter some problems with the air conditioning and the Wi-Fi.

Language barrier can be an issue

Although guests find the staff here is friendly and helpful, they do also find that the language barrier can be problematic. With at least some of the staff seemingly speaking very little English, conversations can be stilted at times.

Excessive noise levels

Noise can be a problem here. While guests are fairly accepting of the fact that the central location will come with a little street noise, they are less happy to accept the level of internal noise. Late night disturbances seem to be commonplace and poor internal soundproofing means guests can typically hear it all from their room.
