Positive Reviews

Fantastic rooms and plenty of space

The room amenities will impress the pickiest of visitors Guests appreciate the little touches like the home-made shortbread and deluxe bathroom toiletries The size of the rooms is also impressive.

A warm welcome

The staff at this boutique hotel is among its best assets Guests are complimentary about everyone from front-of-house staff to the restaurant’s waiters It seems they’ll go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need.

Great food

Guests seem to particularly like the steak and Sunday roasts at the Angel Inn and Blue Pig, but most meals get a great review The restaurant is open to the public, so it’s worth booking a table to avoid having to wait.

Negative Reviews

Only continental breakfast is free

Considering the generous amount of freebies on offer, it comes as something of a surprise to some guests that the free breakfast includes continental items only If you want to tuck into a full English, you need to pre-book at an extra cost - either that or run the risk of plate envy in the morning.

Front facing rooms are a little noisy

As you might expect from a busy high street setting, the noise level can be high, particularly when the market people are setting up their stalls at 5am on Saturday morning Don’t worry too much though - it’s nothing that a good pair of ear plugs can’t fix.

Access can be tricky

It can be a little tricky to navigate to the rear car park and you’ll need to get hold of the access code before you arrive The hotel has responded to this regular complaint by providing better directions, so make sure you read them before you hit Lymington high street.
