Positive Reviews

No frills option in a central location.

With three popular London museums a short stroll away, Hyde Park, Harrods and the West End within easy reach, and a direct tube to Heathrow Airport from Gloucester Road Underground Station- five-minutes away, the hostel offers budget accommodation in an affluent suburb close to everything.

Friendly, accommodating staff.

The hotel chain prides itself on providing guests with a warm, friendly welcome; and this is what most people experience. The team are more than happy to store bags so, if you'd like to drop them off before check-in to make the most of your visit (or, of course, after), this shouldn't be a problem.

Great start to the day.

Breakfast consists of a selection of hot and cold items and you can eat and drink as much as you wish for a set price. The window for breakfast is vast too, catering for both early risers and those who prefer a lie-in.

Negative Reviews

Outdated bathroom pods.

The bathroom pods in the majority of rooms resemble aeroplane facilities and most guests find them cramped and outdated. The good news is that, according to the hotel, all rooms are due for refurbishment in the coming year.

Noises in the night.

With its busy road location and popularity with school groups, it is likely you will experience noise disturbance of one variety or another during your stay. Night receptionists do their best to control sound levels but, as far as most people are concerned, the occasional noisy groups come with the hostel territory.

Technology black-out.

Wi-Fi is available, and free, but it doesn't always work in guest rooms. You should, however, be able to connect in the lobby. Some guests find that their rooms have a severe shortage of plug sockets; making charging electrical items a bit of a juggle.
