Positive Reviews

Interesting old building.

Those who appreciate a character building will enjoy the lovely features of Bryn Howel, which has kept many of the original parts and furnished the rest in keeping with the period.

Views in every which way.

With the view down to Llangollen Canal or the Dee Valley as a baseline from your room, your visit gives plenty of opportunity for canoeing, walking, biking, a visit to nearby Llangollen, or exploring of nearby abbeys and castles.

Staff welcoming and courteous.

The attentive staff members are a pleasant part of a stay at Bryn Howel, and will do their best to help in whatever way possible.

Negative Reviews

Furniture and rooms need refurbishment.

Some guests have been of the opinion that the old furniture needs refurbishment, the hotel in general could use some TLC and the bathrooms and their fittings are especially in need of attention.

Food splits opinions.

While many guest reviews indicate happy bellies after eating at the hotel, others have been less than impressed with the value for money, service times and breakfast selection.

Wi-Fi signal issues.

A handful of guests have found the Wi-Fi to be patchy, or non-existent, but this may be due to the fact that signal is only provided for public areas.
