Positive Reviews

It's highly affordable

For many guests, what drew them to Kings Head Inn was the low nightly rate. Several reviews noted that at the time of their stay, it was the lowest priced hotel in the area, and many said it represented a significant value.

There are many attractions nearby

Previous guests found that almost everywhere they wanted to go during their stay in Llandovery was within a short distance of the hotel. They were pleased to note that there are several restaurants nearby, and many chose to stay there so that they could pursue attractions like the Red Kite Feeding Station, Dryslwyn Castle, or the Dan Yr Ogof Show Caves.

Friendly customer service

Guests were quite pleased with the service they received during their stay. They reported that the staff were personable and professional, and that they were happy to accommodate requests.

Negative Reviews

It's a little outdated

While most guests described the furnishings as adequate, many noted that they were quite old, and not really in fashion.

The food is hit and miss

Some guests had an absolutely spectacular experience with the hotel's breakfast or taking their evening meal in the pub. Others found the food passable at best, and, at worst, quite bad. The most common complaint was food that arrived cold or lukewarm, and this seemed to happen particularly often at breakfast.

The Wi-Fi is unreliable

Though the hotel does provide free Wi-Fi access, several guests noted that it was unreliable. This issue was particularly detrimental to business travellers.
